Training is provided for hydrological data management with an innovative system - Fondos de Agua

From October 25 to 27, 2017, within the framework of the Latin American Water Fund Alliance, staff of the Quito Water Fund (FONAG), the ecohydrology department of the San Francisco University of Quito and the Municipal Water Company They received a training course in the management of the RBIS data management platform.

RBIS is a software developed by the Department of geography of the Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, which is being implemented as the standard tool for the management of hydrological data in water depths.

The course, taught by Jorge Leon Sarmiento of The Nature Conservancy, trained attendees in uploading, searching and downloading information from these online platforms.

The Latin American Water Fund Alliance is continuously seeking the incorporation of innovative tools that allow obtaining quality information that contributes to the water security of the cities and the work of the Water Funds of the region.
