Latin American Water Funds Partnership

The vision of the Latin American Water Funds Partnership is to contribute water security in Latin American and the Caribbean, through the creation and strengthening of Water Funds.

The Partnership has a vital role in the region, and its work is focused on: i) improving scientific knowledge and using it to design robust conservation plans that will improve water security in metropolitan areas; ii) expanding the monitoring network to identify the real impacts of natural infrastructure in improving the availability and quality of water, as well as, in mitigating the effects of climate change; iii) using these results to influence public policies and corporate practices towards better management of the water cycle from the upper basin to final supply; iv) attracting more resources for conservation from both, public and private actors, and promoting solutions based in natural infrastructure as a complement to traditional infrastructure solutions.
